Photo Gallery
I think I have improved on my shooting skills and how I set up images. My editing skills have improved greatly. At the beginning of this semester I didn't really try to edit my photos or put much thought in the projects. I slowly began to get better throughout the semester. I learned how to make objects look better just from editing and using natural light. The way I think about photography did not really change though. It isn't my first choice for a career path but it is fun to do.
I really enjoyed changing the colors of my images. I noticed I like to have specific focal point in the photo to make it look more interesting. I liked using the burring tool and double exposure. I like to take pictures of what people are doing and what the world looks like through their eyes.
I chose these images because you can clearly tell I spent the most time on them and put the most effort into them. I think they are really strong images compared to the ones that are good but are untouched by the editing tools. For some reason I was drawn to these images and especially the ones that sort of have a deep feeling or emotion behind them.
My favorite subject was animal photography. I really did a good job capturing the emotions and silly expressions on my dog's face. I have two images in my gallery from this project. These are the ones that stood out to me and deserved to be in the gallery.
If I could retake this semester, I would have put more effort into all of my photos, not just some. I feel like if I would have made more time for myself to take photos and spend time editing them, they would have looked better.
